Keep up the great work!

I hope to find everyone healthy and safe for the New Year 2007.

A parents job is 24/7 and one of the hardest jobs there is. Keep up the great job of raising happy, heathy and safe children, by asking questions of them, talking to them, listening to them and reminding them that they are important to us, and we aren't trying to be "noisy" but that we want them to be safe. Know where they are going, who they will be with, remind them of the "house rules" your family has, and that they need to call with any problems or questions they may have in any situtation they may get into.

Communicating with other parents and teens, makes our job of parenting a little less stressful. Teens will make mistakes, but as parents, we need to help them avoid the negative choices by educating them on the dangers and consequences of making poor choices.

Have a happy and safe 2007. Thank you for all of the support you have given to Parent Corps.

WINTER BREAK

Winter break is around the corner. Teens will be wanting to get out and be with their friends. Make sure they tell you where they are going and who they are with. Get contact numbers in case of an emergency. Give them the tools to stay safe and make positive choices.

Have a great break.

LEGAL AGE IS 21

JUST SAY NO!

NOT drinking is the social norm. 81% of adolescents ages 12-17 have chosen not to drink in the past year. (RESOURCE: MADD)

Keep talking to your teens about the dangers of underage drinking. Not just that it is illegal, but the DUI's, alcohol poisoning, the affects on the body, addiction and even death.

Help keep the children safe and healthy.
