Want to Join Waxhaw Elementary School Parent Corps or Kid Corps?
Parent Corps offers parents a way to band together to support each other as they raise their children in today's world. Membership is FREE and is open to any parent supporting a child at Waxhaw Elementary School. A parent is defined as a biological parent, adoptive parent, aunt, uncle, grandparent, godparent, foster parent or any other adult who may be a guardian to a child.

Waxhaw welcomes the Parent Corps!
Parent Corps and Kid Corps began at Waxhaw in November of 2005. We are currently 101 Parent Corps members and 109 Kid Corps strong and growing daily! Before we even started our official membership drive we participated in Red Ribbon Week and Plant the Promise. We planted yellow tulips and daffodils in honor of Enrique Camerena, a DEA officer killed for his work against illegal drugs. On March 25th we will have our first Parent/Child Adventure Day. Our third grade through fifth grade students and their parents/guardians will take part in a FREE fun and interactive day to build bonds and increase communication with each other. I am also currently working on a seminar for internet safety.
